The Naples April 2022 housing market update reveals some of the same ol’ things we have come to know and love about the American housing boom. Inventory has already been sparse and Collier County saw a 12.5% drop in new listings in April. But don’t tell me that there are no buyers. I talk to several buyers a day who want to buy a home. There is money out there and people want real estate not only for their primary residence, but for investment purposes as well.. Have you seen the stock market lately?
The median home price in 34102 for April shot up 18% over March 2022. When was the last time your Disney stock performed that well? Ha, just kidding. I know that is a sensitive subject for Disney shareholders. Any thoughts on how the dissolution of the Reedy Creek Improvement District will affect the county residents within the counties that will absorb it? We will see soon!
Back to Naples. The price/sqft in 34102 in April 2022 was $900 while the price/sqft in Collier County was $296. You would have to go all the way back to November 2013 to get a price/sqft of $296 for 34102, the priciest ZIP in Naples. All these numbers in the Naples April 2022 housing market update can make your head spin, but at the end of the day, you just have to take a moment to smell the roses and determine your level of gratitude.
