Don’t let your next real estate experience be like a trip to the dentist.
As I laid in the dentist chair earlier today trying to figure out exactly how much of her hand the dentist was going to try and shove in my mouth, I began to think about how great it is to be at a point in my real estate career where I am getting lots of referrals from past clients. Sure, I market to an area of town I like to work in, I also write these blogs to give advice on buying and selling homes, but there’s nothing quite like having past clients pass your number along to someone after you sold them a home.
The key to that is, of course, doing a good job for people. Honestly, integrity, friendliness and beng competant just scratch the surface of what it takes to make it in real estate year after year. There is that saying in business that the thing people remember the most is how you made them feel. I thought of all this as the dentist kept asking me questions when all I could do was grunt “No” or “Yes”, which kinda sound the same when someone has their fist in your mouth. It occurred to me that the dentist doesn’t care about my responses. That’s fine, I didn’t really care for her questions.
So while the dentist doesn’t care about my responses to her questions, I can say without hesitation that I DO care about all of the great people I get to work with in real estate. My past clients have all been a yuuuuuge blessing and their referrals are the biggest compliment they could ever give me. The Naples area has a unique position in the housing market and the last 2 years is unlike anything we have ever seen, making the Naples housing market fly off the charts.
This is not the time to be experimenting with some new fangled real estate model like iBuyers or limited service brokerages. Get an experienced Realtor with decades of real estate knowledge implanted in there head who also has a firm grasp of modern technology and who will do whatever it takes to get your real estate dreams through to fruition. There is a Realtor in town who will go the distance for and with you, even if your dentist doesn’t care about your responses.
