The evening of November 5th, 2024 will be one for the history books, no matter what happens. We all have reasons for supporting who we support and some are more passionate than others. I have observed a pondering thought that has hitchhiked into the minds of many over the months leading up to November 5th, 2024. That is, what will happen if this passion continues past election day? I have heard that elections are won and lost off of snapshots & sound bites. It makes sense that, due to people being busy and living their lives, only bits and pieces of information will land in the fertile psyches of the masses which, perhaps, are conducive to such growth. As drops of water from a storm that grace our foreheads or the random bug that you swallow while yawning on a boat ride, could such absorption be fate? What lands and how each person processes it is a mystery I don’t think even AI can solve. People are fickle, as you may have noticed. There is often no rhyme or reason for decisions that they make or the views that they hold, from our objective observations. With the path to subjectively knowing ourselves being just about the greatest journey we can experience, few stick with the work long enough to achieve success. Endurance is the word.

America The Beautiful

The 2024 presidential election cycle has, by far, been the wildest election cycle that anyone alive today has ever had to endure. The battle for eyes, minds and hearts is off the charts and the desire for leadership appears to be as the thirst of an arid desert, to bring simile to necessity. The hearts of man are tossed like the waves in the sea, and though disguised regularly in cloaks of politeness, the human condition is one of perpetual selfishness, fear and pride. “What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?” Think about the wisdom of that thought. It was penned by a guy named James years ago and is deeply true even to this day. From the stirring of the heart that occurs from snapshots and soundbites to the second phase of reinforcing what position should be held, the source of conflicts and definitions of self pleasure take root yet are rarely exposed.

Think of a symphony playing the most beautiful music your ears have ever heard. This occurs by all members reading from the same sheet of music, masterfully developed with all parts and purpose in mind. The engineers at NASA or SpaceX do the same thing. There is a set of plans to reach a collective, purposeful goal and all involved are given specific duties to build off of the main design to achieve success for that which was dreamt up. Now, this example of design that succeeds by the hands of many can certainly be nefarious, bringing disaster to more than than it serves. Directly and effectively. This is a bad design brought on by dark inspiration of a few. Not coincidentally cut from the same cloth as the producers of snapshots and sound bites. But a beautiful song is undeniable. A strong bridge that spans a great distance is useful by billions over its lifetime, and a freeing and encouraging word will always lift the hearts of the despondent. Snapshots and sound bites will remain, and with discernment and patience can they be but merely a low hanging branch or muddy patch on our path. Singing from the same sheet of music takes discipline, patience and is not self seeking. It serves everyone and requires excellence from everyone. And because we are capable of excellence, we must expect nothing less.

If you have waited until today to vote, think of this; The source of dissonance in the plan for beauty is a plan all its own. What’s true is not new & what is new is not true. Whether you believe in mysticism or in God, you must understand that there are things that work to bring all of creation into harmony, and things that work that seek to destroy the peace that is ultimately desired in the hearts of every man & woman. Knowing the difference takes humility, hope & faith. Making a difference takes courage.
