Is There Anybody Out There?
I send out a lot of letters each month. However, most of these invitations are not mass-market mailers like a lot of agents send out. You know, the ones that look like every other real estate agent’s marketing pieces? There is a whole industry in this country that collects tens of millions of dollars each year to slap on the face of the next Realtor in line on a postcard to promote their “Just Listed” or “Just Sold” property. Same template, different face. I like handwriting the address on my letters and placing each stamp on one-by-one. It just seems more intentional and personal. Purposeful. The goal is to help people, not win a trophy for how much I can spend carpet bombing the public with “celebrate me” ads. If you received a letter from Josh Amolsch, you will understand the difference.
Most of my letters don’t even address how I can help people with their real estate problem or my desire to do so. I send out several notes a week to random people I have met just to say “thank you”. The employee at Home Depot who helped me load the lawn mower into my truck, the waitress who told me she works 3 jobs to survive, Leslie down at the gelato place on 5th who runs the place like he is the longtime owner but is actually just an incredible employee. You know, the people who deserve an extra pat on the back. I keep stacks of thank you cards in my drawer along with postage. Below is proof. My actual desk drawer.
Chart For Success
Then there are the letters that go out to homeowners who are just thinking about selling or maybe have tried recently, but came up short on getting that deal closed. Hey, if I think I can reach the can of peas on the top shelf for a little old lady at Seed to Table to save her the trouble, I will jump at that opportunity every.dang.time. So, have you received a letter from Josh Amolsch? There are several ways I figure people will react to a letter from me. Like a true musician will do in times of inspiration, I wrote a song about it.
Well, I made a chart. Same thing.
And there you have it. You may have tried to sell your wonderful home recently without success. If you are not going into the wilderness again with your previous agent, why not give me a shot at the title? If anything, plan on telling your friends that you received a letter from Josh Amolsch and that you have a chart to show them.
